One of the collaborative pieces for our project at the Mainfranken Theater has begun: Friedrich Schiller's “Maria Stuart.” Old hat? On the contrary! Thanks to Markus Trabusch's staging, it's more relevant than you might think.
The two queens of Scotland and England, Mary and Elizabeth, are concerned with understanding and being understood. Both want to come into their own. But it's not that easy, even as a queen. Each has their own goals in mind above all else. But what happens in the end when everyone thinks this way?
The play, with its convincing actors, who impressively stage their story in front of the stringent set design with fantastic musical accents, makes it clear to us.
What was true in Schiller's time has also been experienced later in history and could happen again today. Let's talk about it! What do you think about it?
